THESIS: this is the direction we are rolling.
Bernard's Mission is simply to explore and study life. Growing up and living in a single location, having no experience of anywhere except where you come from, creates a situation in which it is hard to piece together a well rounded perspective of the world. Our first goal is to re-explore America and the American people, to gain first hand knowledge of what this country and its people are about. We are dissatisfied with the empty knowledge provided us by our public education and the corporate media. We are convinced there is more and better wisdom to be had in our native land and that wisdom is the target of our explorations. We are looking for anything, everything, and all the things in America that we do not know about. We want to meet the people we do not know and see the places we have never seen. We want to share what we find with all who wish to know. Bernard the bus will become an idea and information hub sharing or spreading idea's, imparting knowledge, distributing information, connecting people and organizations to build a network of resources, and providing the motivation to get people excited about their dreams and their life. We are being a part of the counter culture which exist outside the world of the corporate conglomerated media and consumer industries by supporting, encouraging, connecting and promoting local artists, writers, musicians, dancers, thinkers, actors, healers, and craftspeople we meet along the way. We are reminding people that life is whatever we as the human race make it and that there exists an endless expanse of options just on the other side of our imaginations, outside or maybe slightly left of our modern day lives of declining diversity and derailed design. We are reminding people that it is easy to live and be happy if we think about it in the right way and if we work together. While we are interested in so many things, a few of the topics and destinations on the top of our list to study are: Sustainable living or building or agriculture or permaculture / organic farming and communities, the western half of the United States, Alternative energy sources such as wind or solar or vibrational, clean water or cleaning water / keeping it that way, monasteries and ashrams, living off the land through foraging, primitive shelter construction and trapping, national parks and forests, self exploration / realization / awareness, diet and nutrition, holistic health practices and medicine / message and acupuncture, local government / economics, and building or creating things ourselves with our own resources. please, read, learn, grow, listen, accept, understand, question, test, practice, persist, change, share, love. |
